Hi ๐ฑ ๐ฑ
I want to share my experience of being a vegetarian, which lasted for two years. It was about 5 years ago, but I still remember all the moments, both good and not so good. ๐
Pros:
Energy and lightness. After giving up meat, I felt lightness in my body and a burst of energy. ๐ Less heaviness and fatigue after eating.
Conscious eating. I started to be more mindful of what I eat. I gradually learned how to prepare tasty and healthy meals that diversified my diet. ๐ฅ๐ฒ
Ethics. For me, this was a step towards conscious consumption. Giving up meat was about caring for animals and nature, and it made me feel in tune with myself. ๐๐
Health. During vegetarianism, my skin and digestion improved. ๐งโจ
Cons:
Difficulties with groceries. It was hard to find good vegetarian food in some places, and sometimes there was none at all. Yes and there was often a lack of variety in the house. ๐ฝ๏ธ
Lack of protein. Sometimes I felt like I didn't get enough protein, especially in the winter when I wanted something heartier. This was something I had to struggle with a bit. ๐ช
Social situations. Vegetarianism isn't always easy, especially when you're out visiting or at family gatherings. People often don't understand and sometimes even rebuke. ๐ค
Difficulties with variety. Even though I learned how to cook, it was still sometimes difficult to find delicious recipes that suited me. ๐
In the end, I came to the realization that vegetarianism is not the only right path for everyone, but for me it has provided many useful lessons and changes. ๐ฟ I don't follow a strict diet now, but the experience has stayed with me. The key is to listen to your body and find the balance that works for you. โค๏ธ
