Funny story about messing with my male gynecologist about having a BF and husband (which was actually before I ever had an actual BF) Not sure I should tell this bit? I don't want to offend anyone: so when I was pregnant with my first, my husband and I went in for the mandatory genetic counseling and they review birth defects and genetic problems just as a normal course of being pregnant - possible things that could happen And the doctor was all "...and these things can happen, and it's not anything you did wrong, it's statistically unlikely, but it can happen and we want you to have this information. But it wouldn't be your fault or anything" And my husband said deadpan "No. It's because we offended the Lord" The doctor was like "uhhhhh...." And my husband let it sit for an uncomfortably long moment and said "I'm just messing with you doc. We're scientists" (And my husband is devoutly Catholic, but not a religious zealot type at all. He's a reasoned scientist)
