What happened the night we took these? We were driving from Austin to Big Bend and thought it would be cool to stop in Marfa, Texas on the way. Marfa is known for its creepy sightings of ominous UFOs and ghost lights that shine bright on clear nights. As we drove into the dusty town, we could see a storm brewing in the distance, but knew we would miss it by a couple miles. Little did we know that it would follow us into the night. The grey brown sky stayed within view looking as if rain would start at any second, but for some reason the sky was holding back. We continued to drive into the distance hoping that we could still have some light on the road until we got to the infamous fake Prada store on Route 67. The sun seemed to set faster and faster as our vehicle raced toward it. As did the storm. At that point, we knew we were going to experience a pretty bad rainfall any minute. Bummed out that the sun was down for photography, my friend stopped on the side of the road to make sure we had a safe spot while the storm passed. Ominous as ever, the storm passed right over us with rain surrounding our vehicle but not getting it wet... Bewildered we all rolled down our windows and noticed there were bright green lights over the top of the vehicle. Hovering. Watching. Waiting. Quickly we rolled up the windows and stayed silent looking at each other wondering if we all had seen the same thing. Moments later, we felt a gush of rain pour over the car like hail. The lights were gone. The storm ran its course. Finally, I breathed. Not a word was spoken the entire rest of the night until we arrived at our rundown motel that had no running water. Nestled in cheap sheets, the four of us decided that it be best to keep it a secret in hopes that the green lights would not return. Pinky promises pushed us into a delicate slumber, and as my friends snored soundly I peeked out of my covers only to see green lights washing over the closed curtains of the outside window... They knew where we were. They knew what we had said. They were watching. And, they will continue to watch for as long as they wish. - Did I get you?! Tehe, all of this was a little white lie.
